Uncertainty-aware composite quality monitoring presented at ECCM22

Our partner Limmat Scientific recently presented DEMOQUAS results at the 22nd European Conference on Composite Materials – ECCM22, where discussions focused on sustainability, disruptive technologies and emerging applications in the field of composite materials.

During “Session 3.21 Uncertainty Quantification”, Limmat Scientific presented the work entitled “Uncertainty-aware composite quality monitoring”, developed in collaboration with Prof. Maistros from ADV and Prof. Kalfas from AUTH.

The work focuses on uncertainty-aware dielectric cure monitoring, supporting more robust and reliable measurements during the curing process of composite materials. This is particularly relevant for aviation applications, where materials must meet strict performance requirements and where reliable monitoring can contribute to safer and more sustainable manufacturing processes.

The presentation attracted interest from the audience and offered a valuable opportunity to share DEMOQUAS findings within the composites community.

As uncertainty quantification is still an emerging topic in many application areas, DEMOQUAS is proud to contribute to advancing this research field and exploring how UQ methods can support the future of safer, more robust and sustainable aviation technologies.

A warm thank you to Limmat Scientific and all partners involved for representing DEMOQUAS at ECCM22.
