On 11 December 2025, the elegant setting of Villa Lo Zerbino in Genoa hosted Vision 2030 – The role of technological innovation in four strategic domains: Space, Robotics, Energy and Underwater, torganised by STAM. The event provided a valuable opportunity for dialogue and exchange among industry leaders, institutions and research representatives, offering a forward-looking perspective on innovation and future development.
At the heart of the event, a roundtable discussion explored the role of technological innovation across the four strategic domains. The discussion also touched upon the growing relevance of advanced engineering methodologies, uncertainty quantification and data-driven approaches to enhance safety, reliability and performance in complex systems, themes closely aligned with current European research initiatives such as the DEMOQUAS project.
The debate was enriched by contributions from high-profile speakers representing national technology clusters, major industrial players and strategic operational hubs, who shared insights on innovation, resilience and cross-sector cooperation.
The event concluded with institutional greetings from regional representatives and final remarks from a former national minister and current foundation president, who reaffirmed the strategic value of dialogue between industry, research and institutions.
Vision 2030 once again proved to be more than an event: a shared space for ideas, relationships and perspectives, aimed at jointly shaping the future through innovation.
